In 2019, Moreton Hire took a pioneering step towards sustainability by eliminating single-use MDF (Medium-Density Fibreboard) in custom exhibition stands. Instead, we adopted modular exhibition booth systems that can be reused for years, significantly reducing waste and improving sustainability in the events industry.
Why We Made the Change:
- Traditional MDF-based exhibition stands are typically single-use, generating excessive waste after each event.
- MDF is not easily recyclable due to the adhesives and chemicals used in its production, leading to landfill disposal.
- The shift to modular, reusable structures supports a more circular economy, reducing raw material consumption and waste generation.
Our Sustainable Solution:
- We eliminated single-use MDF in favour of modular exhibition booths that are durable, adaptable, and can be reused for multiple events.
- Our modular systems allow for customisation without excessive material waste, providing clients with sustainable yet high-quality exhibition solutions.
- This initiative has resulted in a significant reduction in exhibition waste, lowering the environmental footprint of trade shows and corporate events.
By removing single-use MDF from our operations, Moreton Hire has set a new industry benchmark in sustainable exhibition design, demonstrating that innovation and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
