An event close to our hearts, Moreton Hire has proudly been involved with Beef Australia since its inception. Beef Australia is our cattle industry’s national exhibition and is held triennially in Rockhampton, Queensland during the month of May. Its inaugural event was held in 1988 for Australia’s bicentennial celebrations and as a born and bred Queensland events and exhibition supplier, Moreton Hire enthusiastically got involved. For 36 years our partnership has been valued and to date it is still one of our teams favourite, and most logistically challenging major events we deliver.

Held again in May 2024, the event exceeded 115,000 visitors, featured over 500 trade exhibitors, showcasing the latest in beef production technology, innovation, and sustainability practices. The event also hosts more than 1,700 stud cattle, along with hundreds of prime cattle for the commercial cattle championships.

Moreton Hire’s involvement in 2024, included the building of activations for iconic brands in the agriculture industry. From marquees, to exhibition booths, furniture and signage. Our team had boots on the ground in Rockhampton for 3 months leading up to show open, with a meticulous project management team delivering equipment and support for organisers and exhibitors. A logistical feat, the build and bump out takes 3 months, with around 18 semi trailer loads of equipment delivered from our Brisbane distribution centre to Rockhampton.

Our clients not only included Beef Australia who we built 2 major structures for and occupied 7 pavilions with exhibition builds internally, but we also serviced a further 11 clients with their brand activations and displays at the event. These clients included, Harvest Road, Meat and Livestock Australia, Lallemand, Kilcoy, NAB, Woolworths, BOQ and AgriWebb to name but a few.

If you were in attendance you would have found hire structures, furniture and event equipment by Moreton Hire at the Long Paddock and the Tech Yards. As aforementioned, this logistical feat meant our teams attention to detail was paramount. The Account Managers and Account Directors on the job were in Rockhampton a week prior to exhibitor bump in and offered our clients virtual tours of their spaces to ensure the finished product exceeded expectations.
