The Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race is an iconic annual event hosted by the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, starting in Sydney, New South Wales on Boxing Day and concluding in Hobart, Tasmania. Broadcast worldwide, this race, held in conjunction with the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania, is renowned for being one of the most challenging yacht races globally.
For the past six years, Moreton Hire has been proud to provide the infrastructure for this prestigious event. This year, our team installed two Uniflex Arcum marquees (10m x 20m and 10m x 15m), along with comprehensive lighting, electrics, furniture, and staging to support various functions and race day activities over a four-week period. This event is a highlight on our calendar, and we are thrilled with the results year after year.
In 2019, we once again delivered exceptional service for the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, supplying temporary infrastructure, FFE, and signage for the Start Village and Media Centre at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia. It was our fourth consecutive year working on this event, and it remains a standout project for the Moreton Hire team.
