Our team at Moreton Hire have a deep acknowledgement of our responsibility in creating a smaller footprint. ‘Sustainability’ is a word that is easily thrown around – We want to ensure we are practicing what we preach within our business and are having honest conversations about what it means to be an environmentally responsible corporation. We are consciously making continual improvements in the way we do business, with the environment at the forefront of our minds.

ETHICALLY SOURCED
HIRE FURNITURE
Unlike other furniture hire, styling and events companies in the market, we do not put importance on product trends or continual purchasing of ‘new’ collections. Instead our investment strategy going forward is to ensure we purchase only the highest quality core product that is built to stand the test of time. If not Australian made, we invest in European designed and manufactured core products for our range. Disassembability of products, 100% recycled plastic and sustainably sourced timber, are some of the key attributes of the products we have invested in.

BIO CARPET
Moreton Hire has the largest range of carpet tiles for hire in Australia, and more recently has made a huge investment in tiles that are made from biodegradable jute that is SCG certified and fully recycled. An example of a cleaner, greener core product to ensure when hiring for your major exhibitions and events you are making a more sustainable hire choice.
DISPLAY CONSIDERATIONS
SUSTAINABLE SIGNAGE
Non-biodegradable MDF and foamex is an exhibition industry pain point which often ends up in landfill. Moreton Hire has invested in the research around sustainable signage with our supply chain. From signage being printed on DISPA, which is a 100% paper, 100% recycled product and the most sustainable display boards for digital printing, to the increased use of fabric signage which can also be 100% recycled. We are invested in combating waste and recycling in this area of our business.
A NATIONAL FOOTPRINT
REDUCED TRANSPORT
Unlike our competitors, Moreton Hire has core stock based in QLD, NSW and VIC and has reduced our transfers around Australia by 83% in 5 years. Due to our locality, this reduces the need for trucks and semi trailers going up and down the highway each week. Additionally our teams being locally based means a reduction in staff travel nationally.

From our key German marquee supplier who focuses on building in energy efficiencies in their structures, to furniture suppliers with the correct manufacturing certifications, we are making conscious partners with others who think and feel like we do.
PRODUCT LIFE SPAN
REUSED & REPURPOSED EQUIPMENT
We’re often asked… “what happens to items at the end of their life cycle?” In most instances, we look at ways to repurpose or reuse items, such as utilizing old marquee vinyl into protection covers for stillages. Our furniture is often re-upholstered or re-coloured to give items a fresh look. Meet Rolan, he has worked with Moreton Hire for 25 years and is the head of our in house repurposing department. From furniture maintenance to re-upholstery, he is continually transforming our core product. Just one of many ways, we try to not simply dispose, but reuse and repurpose all our equipment.
