The Council of Australasian University Directors of Information Technology (CAUDIT) is the peak body for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the Higher Education and Research sectors. CAUDIT brings together University and Research Institutions from across Australasia and the South Pacific. The CAUDIT Communities Conference 2024 was held at La Trobe University Bundoora in Victoria and was a prime example of a simple and extremely cost-effective small conference. The open plan nature allowed there to be ample branding space for exhibitors at a low cost, and the design of this three-day conference highlights the possibilities at smaller venues where exhibition space might be limited.
