EVENT OVERVIEW

Moreton Hire was appointed by the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) and Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) as the official Marquee and Temporary Structures supplier for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. Moreton Hire were contracted to provide additional venue space around the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns to cater for the additional 650,000 visitors to Australia. The commonwealth Games is the largest event to come to Australia since the Sydney Olympics. Moreton Hire supplied and project managed the full installation in only 8 months.

Long Term Hire Marquee at Sydney Cricket Ground

Moreton Hire partnered with Gabba Sporting Products to deliver a re-development at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). This structure was erected back in 2020 for the International and BBL seasons, but has been so useful throughout the last two years, it has remained in place at the SCG and now a permanent fixture.

Temporary Building at Mac Robertson Girls School

When Mac Robertson was challenged with the construction of an existing building, they couldn’t go without the critical space for their students for an extended period of time. Sitting down with the principal of Mac Robertson, Moreton Hire proposed the most appropriate solution for the school – which was to erect a fully-fitted temporary structure in place of the study area that was unusable during renovations.

Marquee structure at Rosewood Estate

Rosewood Estate neighbours the world heritage-listed Lamington National Park in the mountain range behind Queensland’s Gold Coast and is part of the world renowned Scenic Rim region.
