The Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo is Australia’s longest-running marketplace for buyers and suppliers, renowned for uniting innovators and established brands under one roof for the ultimate waste and recycling event. The 2022 expo was no exception, with ICC Sydney hosting 1,500 waste management professionals, business leaders, and government representatives over two days in August.

At the Waste & Recycling Exhibition 2022, sustainability extended to every detail, including signage. All organizer signage was printed on DISPA, a recycled and recyclable card-based substrate. Exhibitors were also offered this eco-friendly option, with many opting for this sustainable choice.
Feature areas, including theatre stage backdrops, were constructed using recycled and reusable card-based materials. Even our own warehouse pallets found a second life in creating functional, eco-conscious structures. This thoughtful approach demonstrates how sustainable solutions can be seamlessly integrated into every aspect of an event.

The Waste & Recycling Exhibition 2022 showcased innovation and environmental responsibility in every aspect. In addition to eliminating MDF and opting for recycled and recyclable card materials, the event organizers embraced sustainability by selecting furniture from Moreton Hire’s re-purposed range. These pieces are thoughtfully re-upholstered or re-colored to give them new life, complemented by our investment in recycled polypropylene furniture tailored for the exhibition industry.
Adding to this eco-friendly approach, LED lighting illuminated the event, reducing energy consumption while enhancing the atmosphere. These thoughtful choices reflect a commitment to sustainability at every level.
