At the centre of the 2018 Commonwealth Games was The Media Centre. A versatile space that hosted 42 events over a two week period. Featuring a 20m x 40m marquee built directly on the sand, Moreton Hire provided a full turnkey offering for the from venue build, provision of equipment.
Featuring an iconic 20m x 40m Multiflex marquee with an inflatable roof and balcony directly on the sand! Moreton Hire provided all marquee and equipment for the site that also included; HVAC, Fencing, Toilets, Kitchens, Electrical, Furniture, Plants, Flooring and Signage.
Led by a Project Manager, the team tacked challenging weather conditions in a high foot traffic zone, with tight timelines and access hurdles to build a space to show of the best of the Gold Coast!
The fit out featured seven (7) event spaces across the overall venue. Each space included; AV, furniture, signage, decor and lighting. Each space was regularly turned over to meet the needs of individual event requirements.
Working with the client and Moreton Hire’s CAD and Design Team, the fit out was designed to meet stringent brand guidelines and featured a large fabricated acoustic wall to divide different spaces and a workroom for delegates.
From planning to decommissioning, the Moreton Hire team offered turnkey site and venue management for the location under the watchful eye of our lead Project Manager.
As the event was held in a high profile, public space, safety was of upmost importance, working with stakeholders to ensure all compliance and safety requirements were met and delivered.
Decommissioning also included a make- good of the site at the end of the event.
From media conferences and meetings to banquet and cocktail functions, we provided the management team for the duration of the activation.
Working with various Hosts and stakeholders, the Team were responsible for all catering, AV, entertainment and equipment in seven event locations. The team included; an Event Manager, Production Manager and Event Coordinators working to tight timelines and turnarounds between various events.
