Moreton Hire was engaged to deliver additional triage space to assist a major hospital’s Emergency Department in managing patient overflow during peak periods. The project involved the installation of two 10m x 15m Uniflex structures, providing a semi-permanent solution that enabled clinical teams to triage and assess patients more efficiently on site.
To ensure minimal disruption to existing infrastructure, the structures were weighted rather than fixed, protecting the car park surface below. Each facility was built with solid insulated walls, glass doors, timber floors with a medical-grade vinyl overlay, and compliant access ramps. A 3m x 9m Multiflex marquee was also added to create a DDA-compliant covered walkway, supporting safe and accessible patient movement.
The internal fit-out included HVAC, lighting, power, internal walling, compliant furniture, and fire safety equipment. Moreton Hire also oversaw the installation of temporary toilet facilities, delivering a complete turnkey solution managed by its experienced local team.
With a proven track record across Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria, Moreton Hire provides semi-permanent healthcare infrastructure that can be deployed rapidly — offering health departments a scalable and reliable solution for both short- and long-term needs.
