The Brisbane Grammar School (BGS) Art Show Gala and Exhibition, showcased a diverse range of artworks, including painting, photography, sculpture, and ceramics. The 2018 edition, themed “Connection,” was particularly significant, featuring works from Year 12 students and Old Boys of the school. The BGS Art Show 2018 was a resounding success, with proceeds used to procure and maintain the school’s art collection, continuing a legacy nearly 50 years in the making.
For the 2018 Art Show, Moreton Hire was entrusted with designing and building a temporary gallery using our versatile Corinthian walling system. Additionally, supplying art plinths, pagoda marquees, outdoor and indoor lighting and furniture. Our role as the main supplier of this event, for over three years, underscored our commitment to delivering high-quality, bespoke exhibition solutions. The Corinthian walling system was chosen for its practicality, flexibility and clean aesthetic appeal, qualities essential for creating a professional and engaging gallery space.

Moreton Hire was tasked with creating a sophisticated and functional pop-up art gallery within the BGS premises. The Corinthian walling system allowed us to design a layout that facilitated smooth movement for guests, enhancing their viewing experience. These movable art gallery walls are ideal for temporary setups, providing a seamless and elegant backdrop for the diverse range of artworks on display.
The Corinthian walling system included overhead lighting to guide visitors and ensure visual clarity throughout the space. This setup was particularly beneficial for accommodating the large number of guests attending the Gala night, where Old Boy artists introduced their works. The BGS Art Show 2018 was a resounding success, with proceeds directed towards purchasing a much-needed kiln for the art department.
