June 2019 | Melbourne VIC
Horticultural Innovation Australia is the grower-owned, not-for-profit research and development corporation for Australia’s horticulture industry – creating value for horticulture growers and those across the horticulture supply chain. Their concept for a new, larger 2019 booth came to Moreton Hire after having successfully installed their stand several times in the last few years. Horticultural Innovation Australia exhibited at Hort Connections 2019 from the 24th – 26th of June.
The concept had a slightly rustic look, to be made in such a way that it was reusable, interchangeable, and could be retro-fitted for several mini-events during the course of the show such as evening cooking demos and product sampling, as well as promotion of the industry, incorporating up to 6 zones at any one time.
Working closely with Hort Innovation’s experiential agency on the range of activities to take place, we developed a build that used a combination of real birch ply panels in a timber-look aluminium structure that could be easily re-branded during the course of the event. The large overhead banner was still an eye-catching statement, with the stand below breaking away from more clinical, corporate-looking booths in a warmer, more organic looking build.
Hidden storage, interchangeable graphic panels, hospitality and meeting areas, information hubs and product displays were all integrated into the design.
