From the 1st till the 4th of September, 3000 delegates met at the International Convention Centre (ICC) for the 2019 Million Dollar Round Table Conference (MDRT). MDRT is an elite international trade association for insurance brokers and financial advisors. Hosted annually, the MDRT Global Conference has been held all over the world, with Sydney being the location for the 2019 event!
The significant three day build of the conference included the largest registration area Moreton Hire has constructed at the ICC, running the entire length of Hall 5. The registration area consisted of 46 counters across 9 separate builds, a total of 267 individual pieces of custom digital print signage was installed. An impressive 9 metre geometric entrance feature was custom built, with 8 custom themed feature zones installed throughout the conference for its delegates. 9000m2 of show floor was covered in carpet tiles and over 24 rigged banners fitted.
Moreton Hire worked closely with MCI Group on the Million Dollar Round Table’s Global Conference, putting into practice our new ‘Design Thinking Methodology’. This was our first conference with our newly hired design team in action. More attention was placed on the front end of the design process to ensure the clients brief was accurately qualified, fully explored and understood before further design, development and implementation. The client welcomed the opportunity to engage with our design team firsthand. The benefit? Producing far superior design outcomes, more cost-effective solutions and a better user experience! The client was able to feel like an integral part of the design and build process from the beginning. The MDRT design centered around immersing the delegates in a diverse contemporary cultural experience showcasing the natural beauty of Australian landscapes and its extraordinary people.
